Week of March 6th... 

This week I wanted to focus on something different. I've been spending time on close ups of flowers and it seemed like a good idea to step back a little and encompass a larger scene. There was more freedom to create color and lines. I still maintained practice with light values. I am discovering the harmony that flows when the colors compliment each other through this practice. 

This week I also started taking a drawing class. In one session, I learned so much about how to see and interpret placement for recreating a scene. I could have stayed in that classroom all night. I expect some future posts will share more about that journey soon!
